Company Background

  • Founded in 1983 with primary business focus of hobby & model products
  • In 1995 CMI introduced the Safety Strobe
  • In late 1996, organized rep groups in US and Canada for retail markets
  • 1998 strobe sales reached over 2 million pieces
  • 1999 over 3 million pieces were sold

Products/Merchandisers

  • General purpose Safety Strobes - blister packaging in 36-display tray, 36-clip strip and the new 144-piece floor/wing display.
  • US Retails are between $1.99 to $4.99 for strobe products and $2.99 to $39.99 for non-strobe products
  • Merchandisers with "silent" flashing salesman generate sales! 40% to 50% Margins for retailers with eight to ten turns
  • Three types of merchandisers: tray, clip strip and floor/wing display
  • Greatest success has been at checkout locations

  • Hardware, Drug and Grocery are our strongest markets.  Inroads into Mass Merchants, Bicycle, Convenience Store including gas and truck stops, Automotive and Ad Specialty markets.
